Aside from the fun and respite from the office that a corporate away day will provide, it’s also a great opportunity for you as a manager to show your appreciation for all the effort your staff put in at work and their contribution to your company. Being on the payroll is one thing, but when your employees truly feel that they are appreciated as part of a larger work effort it will make all the difference to their productivity and success as employees.
As an employee, there are many benefits to taking part in a corporate event of this kind. At first you may think the whole idea a little far fetched, perhaps a desperate attempt by your employer to make your team gel, but it’s really worth looking beyond that.
Work takes up a large part of each of our daily lives and the happier we feel in our work, the happier we are as human beings. By participating in an event such as this you will undoubtedly feel happier at work because of the new feelings of fun, adventure and team development you’ll experience.
People who come back from corporate away days on rope courses and similar activities will only ever speak favourably of the experience. Many say they feel closer to their colleagues after taking part, and feel part of a team rather than a lone worker. People who take part are genuinely grateful to their employers for arranging such team events because so many benefits can be reaped from a day out away from the office. They report returning to the office refreshed and ready to take on whatever new projects come their way.

Corporate away days are cool. I like the car track days best though
