Corporate Days at Go Ape

August 25th, 2009 · No Comments

If you’re thinking of taking your team of employees away on a team building day, you might want some information as to what exactly the day will involve. A good example of corporate entertainment offered in the outdoors is the rather recently launched Corporate Days at Go Ape.

Go Ape is a network of high-wire obstacle courses that weave through the trees of many forests around the UK, such as the New Forest, the Forest of Dean and Thetford Forest. Each obstacle course contains nail-biting Tarzan swings from one tree to the next, zip lines that pass over rivers and lakes from one area of the forest to another and an assortment of challenging ladders and bridges, all at least 15 feet from the ground.

Go Ape is open to the public, but its corporate days are what really make it stand head and shoulders above the competition. They offer a great package for employees and their employers that includes, swinging through the trees with a personal instructor, refreshments and garden games, barbecues and African drumming, plus much more. The reception for this kind of corporate entertainment has been hugely positive, with many teams coming back for repeat visits.

After spending the day enjoying an outdoor pursuit such as this you can’t fail to feel that you know your colleagues better than before, and have established a new level of trust and friendship with them. Upon re-entering the office after such an experience it’s likely that the atmosphere will be changed into one of camaraderie and goodwill. Nothing instils the feeling of team bonding more than a day in the great outdoors experiencing new levels of adventure.
