Arguably the nation still loves the thrill of adventure, perhaps more than the satisfying crunch offered by a packet of crisps. This is why many of us are walking out of our front door, putting on our sports gear and getting our hands dirty with some of the great adventure schemes on offer.

Consider sitting down to watch the Eastenders omnibus at the weekend then think about the alternative of swinging through the trees in one of the beautiful forests in England, supported only by a rope and pulley.
