Rope Courses For Self Development

March 6th, 2009 · 4 Comments

Rope courses have been around since ancient Greek times where they were used as part of a fitness regime for the extremely fit and not aimed at developing them for one certain skill set.
You now often see rope sections as part of a obstacle course on marine training events or team building days, which aids team building so that the stronger members in the team are required to help the less able to complete the course.
Modern rope courses are built with safety in mind, and now most have a belay system which is a backup system in case a rope climber should fall then the belayer will stop their fall.
For those that are scared of heights worry not, Low rope courses are always available which usually range from knee height to upper chest. Some of these lower style courses may incorporate wooden beam sections which are a lot easier to work with.

Not fit, then don’t worry as you only need some upper body strength, as most rope courses are designed to suit people from all walks of life, whether your tall or short heavy or light you shouldn’t encounter any problems with modern day rope courses.
