Short holiday breaks in Dublin

The capital of Eire, Dublin, is one the most exciting city break destinations in the world. This thriving city is a great place to discover some unique Irish culture and tradition. As well as the abundance of pubs and bars catering to your needs, this city is filled with a captivating array of historical and cultural attractions. Cheap flights to Dublin are always easy to find and there is a large variety of accommodation to suit any budget.

Dublin is relatively small, but the main street in the city, O’ Connell Street, is officially the widest in Europe and is lined with some stunning landmarks such as the GPO and the enormous Spire. Easily the biggest attraction in the city centre is the old Trinity College – located on College Green – where you can view the famous Book of Kells.

Of course, Dublin’s famous export – Guinness – has attracted many visitors and another must for your visit is the Guinness Brewery at St. James Gate. Here you can discover the history and how they make one of the world’s most favoured beverages. A visit to the historic Temple Bar region will provide you with plenty of choice when it comes to good pubs pouring the perfect pint – traditional Irish music will also be on tap.

Flights to Dublin are run from destinations all across the world and it is a frequent stop over for those on connecting flights. For destinations in the British Isles, Dublin Airport offers flights to London, Liverpool and Manchester.
